Baby Snakes premiered in New York City at the Victoria Theater in Times Square on 21st December 1979. The movie opens with FZ rehearsing with his fellow band members. The rest of the film combines live footage, primarily from the Halloween show at the Palladium in New York City, with assorted backstage material and truly amazing clay animation sequences by Bruce Bickford. After extensive trawling through the Zappa vaults a new audio master came to light, mixed by FZ. This has now been remastered for Dolby 5.1 and Dolby Digital Stereo under the supervision of Dweezil Zappa for this new DVD released to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Frank Zappa’s death in December this year. |
