Eyes
Wide Open
How do you capture the essence of live King Crimson on DVD? One answer
is the Eyes Wide Open double disc-set, containing nearly five hours of
live footage and featuring a pioneering way to enjoy the improvisational
nature of King Crimson. Disc One captures a night in Tokyo, from King
Crimson’s 2003 World Tour, the first live performances following the album
‘The Power To Believe’. Disc Two features extensive footage from the European
Tour of Spring 2000 - the music from the album "The Construkction of Light".
This revolutionary disc simulates a different concert experience every
time - by randomly drawing on a library of different improvisations with
each viewing. King Crimson have always been a band to be judged on live
performance. This DVD is the closest you can come to the concert experience
without buying a ticket.
